The Oldest Amusement Park in the World!

DAY 93, SATURDAY, APRIL 13TH

Woke up decently early today to meet a friend in the city to go see Captain Marvel at the movie theater! Neither of us had seen it yet and wanted to, so we did- we both enjoyed the movie! After the movie we met another friend at a food court that was having an opening-day event for lunch! It was a super cool food court- 3 floors of all different types of food stalls. It was a super fun place and we got some good food- would definitely go back. After lunch we walked through Kastellet (a sort of fortress) to Langeline park where there are a bunch of cherry blossoms. While looking at the cherry blossoms I realized the little mermaid statues was only a couple minutes away and since I still hadn’t seen it yet we walked over there and took a look/got some pictures. Afterwards we finally headed home. I just relaxed at home before dinner. Dinner was another danish dish of veal, carrots, peas, a sauce. with potatoes. After dinner- handball game for european qualifiers. And some home-made lava cakes for dessert :)

DAY 94, SUNDAY, APRIL 14TH

Woke up this morning and had a late breakfast and tried to get a little work done before heading out for some fun! I met a couple friends, at 12, at the train station to go to Bakken- the oldest amusement park in the world!!! We decided to go for it so we bought the passes and rode pretty much every single ride!! It wasn’t too different from most smaller amusement parks but it felt more quaint as it's right in the middle of the woods. We also rode the wooden roller coaster there which is the oldest ride at the park. It was a super fun afternoon but I definitely feel like I’m old because even though I love roller coasters I can only handle a couple a time haha. The day of course wasn’t complete without some churros.

After Bakken I came back and worked on a paper before helping with dinner. We made some bbq pulled pork sandwiches with bbq sauce that I brought from home & some coleslaw! It was yummy!

I also found this left in my room:

A (disguisting) piece of licorice candy. Denmark is known for their salty licorice which I found absolutely gross.
